Ho acquistato 4 anni fa a 36 euro questo mitico coltellino della Victorinox. Di fatto a soli 10€ in più del modello Huntsman da 15 funzioni ne ha 21 in soli 5 strati di coltellino. Infatti oltre agli attrezzi del modello Huntsman ha lo spillo il cacciavite per gli occhiali la comodissima luce led che proietta dal lato della lama grande il cacciavite a croce Philips la penna a pressione (ottima scrive anche con la punta all’insù) e il cacciavite piatto da 25mm intermedio per grandezza tra gli altri due. Portentoso come EDC ha tutto ciò che vi serve sia per la vita in città di tutti i giorni che per una vacanza all’aperto. la luce a led molto più potente della Swiss Card e del Signature lite. Unica pecca e che portarlo in tasca si vede e in teoria bisognerebbe giustificarne il porto. Altrimenti lo consiglio vivamente perché ha tutto ma proprio tutto per aiutarvi nella vita quotidiana.

My wife bought this gorgeous knife for my 75th birthday. I had my first victorinox for my 14th birthday and I’ve carried one with me ever since. They are unsurpassed in the knife world. Beautifully engineered and a pleasure to own. Every tool on them does what it’s supposed to do and does it well. One of the nicest things about owning a victorinox is they become part of you a real reliable pal for years. I’m retiring my old knife in favour of this new one. He deserves a rest. Thank you. As usual Victorinox only makes high quality knives. Despite this model has more functions compared to the classic Huntsman it is still very light and poket-size. The light is not too powerful but still very effective pretty useful to find objects lost in dark conditions for both indoor and outdoor. However the main reason why I bought this model is because of the philips screwdriver (not included in the classic Huntsman) and it is tough and effective.

All the functions of the Huntsman which has a great combination of blades / tools vs size and weight plus the convenience of an onboard torch. Ok so it’s not a CREE LED and thus for the voltage it’s not the brightest thing in the world but it does the job in most circumstances. But the real bonus with the Huntsman Lite is the addition of the Philips head screwdriver installed opposite the torch unit. Similar to that fitted to the Swiss Champ and the Explorer models this screwdriver is way better than the ones located on the opposite side of the knife to the blades in lieu of the corkscrew such as on models like the Hiker. Being a “plus” model you also get the small screwdriver the pin and the ballpoint pen insert.

I have recently bought this to replace a standard Hunstman that went the world of the lost. The normal huntsman tools are of course very handy. Saw is rarely used but it’s nice to know it’s there. The rest all see frequent use and it’s a great every day use knife. Pliers would be nice but obviously that’d make the knife a little too large. The extra tools you get are the biggest reason for buying torch and Philips screwdriver are used almost every day (they should put Philips on all their tools). It’s also a “plus” too meaning it has a pen pin and mini screw driver squeezed into it without taking up any more space – this is also a fantastic advantage why Victorinox don’t put these on all their knives I will never know.I have to admit at first I found the torch a little disappointing at first not very bright. But being the size it is it produces the expected amount of light.The size is just right perfect for getting a good grip in my hands. The extra space for the torch makes it bigger compared to a standard Hunstman of course but it’s worth it. Any bigger and it’d be too big for every day use.
