The design and slack in the bungee make this loud and clanky when you move. They should at least include a rubber washer to secure the spools so they don’t bounce around but for the price easy enough to add one on your own. The bungee will rot eventually but there’s two so as long as you replace it sooner than later you probably wont have to watch $50-100 in tippet float downstream. Lack of a built in line cutter could be a minor inconvenience depending on how your rigged.A great value – I only purchased because this hanging style fits my particular setup better than the other – sturdier – horizontal options.

I’m a pro fly fishing instructor/ guide for last 3 plus decades. I purchase and test new items to recommend my clients what is worth buying and this one didn’t make it. It only lasted 2 month the elastic cord inside stretched and no longer usable.

Thought the price was fair hooked to my pack they do the job. When I buy this kind of stuff I figure the most I’ll get is a season out of them (snagged loss of elasticity from being wet spring breaking on the clip) but these have held up no complaints. I suppose if you find them cheaper buy them but these have metal clips so seemed worth it to me.

This is a very straightforward product that works perfectly for me. I re-ordered because the elastic is just beginning to fray after several years of very hard use by me. The design is simple and functional and very very inexpensive; but it works perfectly in the stream!

These are perfect for holding spools of tippet or for holding entire fishing rigs or just leaders by wrapping them around foam wheels and sticking them onto these T holders. Saves a lot of room in my chest pack.
